Three bodies were on Wednesday sighted along with wreckage of an aircraft at a place on the path the helicopter carrying Dorjee Khandu and four others had taken. Earlier in the day, breaking information that is "not encouraging and not good news", Home minister P Chidambaram said at a place between Kyela and Lubuthang a party sent by circle officer sighted what appears to be an aircraft. "They have sighted three bodies. This sighting has been made from a height. They have not been able to go down to the place where the aircraft is (lying) crashed. The message has been given to the nearest Army post which is sending a team," he had told reporters.
On Wednesday morning, search operation for missing helicopter carrying Khandu focussed on in three areas along Indo-Bhutan border.
"Based on inputs received from the ISRO satellite and the Sukhoi-30 aircraft, as well as information provided by some local people, the search operations are now going on in Nagar GG, District Tawang", said home ministry joint secretary Sambhu Singh. Singh had said, "The search operations are being carried out by teams from the Army, ITBP, SSB, Arunachal Pradesh Police, NDRF and grazers from Arunachal Pradesh. The Government of Bhutan has also deployed search teams on its side of the border".
The Pawan Hans AS350 B-3 helicopter carrying the chief minister took off from Tawang at 9.50 am on Saturday. The last radio contact with the ground was about 20 minutes after take off as it flew over the Sela Pass along the Chinese border perched at an altitude of 13,700 feet.
There were about 3,500 personnel deployed in the search operations.

Pawan Hans may resume services in N-East from next week
Agartala, 4 May : The Pawan Hans Helicopters Ltd (PHHL) may resume its service in northeast from the next week after it was suspended last Sunday in the wake of the missing of the chopper of Arunachal Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu.
The PHHL authorities have informed the concerned states that the entire fleet was being checked and after careful examination the services would be resumed from the next week, Tripura transport department sources said today. The PHHL has been operating its fleet in the north eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Tripura, Sikkim, Nagaland and Manipur for the last nine years.

Election commission explores sms-poll monitoring possibility
Kolkata, 4 May : Electoral officials yesterday held a meeting with senior police and administrative officers to discuss the possibility of including the police administration into an SMS-based poll monitoring system.
"We have started an SMS-based poll monitoring system where all polling personnel are directly contributing to the network and this is huge success," Chief Electoral officer Sunil Gupta said.
In the meeting, they discussed the possibility of including the police administration into this networking system.
"If we can do that then the presiding officer can directly inform the police when there is a problem in the polling station and this will help in quick police intervention," Gupta said.
"This will save time and help to make the polls more safe and peaceful" he added.
Apart from state's Chief Secretary Samar Ghosh, Home Secretary G D Goutama and ADG (Law and Order) Surajit Kar Purakayastha were present in the meeting.

Ganguly's experience will be an asset to team: Yuvraj Singh
Mumbai, Kolkata, 4 May : Pune Warriors skipper Yuvraj Singh yesterday welcomed Sourav Ganguly's inclusion to the squad, saying the former India skipper's experience will be an asset to the team and will help him in leading the side better in the ongoing Indian Premier League.
"He's experienced and I will get help in captaining the team," Yuvraj told reporters here Tuesday, the eve of their match against Mumbai Indians.
"Definitely he will bring in some experience," he added.
Sourav Ganguly, who was today picked as Ashish Nehra's replacement following an injury to the left-arm seamer, has however, been ruled out of today's tie.
The southpaw from Bengal had backed Yuvraj Singh to the hilt as India skipper and for the Punjab lad, it's payback time now.

Goutam Ghosh makes documentary on " Meghnad Saha "
PTI, Kolkata, 4 May : The life and times of world-famous physicist Meghnad Saha have been captured in a new documentary by ace film-maker Goutam Ghosh.
The English documentary, will focus on milestones in the physicist's career, including the discovery of the famous 'Saha Equation' which describes the chemical and physical composition of stars.
Ghosh told PTI that the documentary, which was completed in February, has a story line involving the physicist and a fictional researcher, Sampurna, who works at the Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, Meghnad Saha's brain child.
The researcher narrates the history of the premier nuclear research institute which Saha founded in 1948, devoted exclusively to researching nuclear energy.
