EC announces election schedule, West Bengal vote in 6 phases

PTI, New Delhi, 1 March : Indian Election Commission has announced dates for elections to Assemblies in four States and the Union Territory of Puducherry.
West Bengal will vote in six phases. The first phase voting is on 18 April, second phase on 23 April, third phase on 27 April, fourth phase on 3 May, fifth phase on 7 May and sixt...h phase is on 10 May. Assam will have a two-phased poll on 4 and 11 April. Kerala, Puducherry and Tamil Nadu will have a single-phase election on 13 April.
Counting of votes in all the four States and Puducherry will be held on 13 May.
