Burdwan , 10 January : 10th Bardhaman Utsav 2009 has been inaugurated today by Kolkata university's VC Dr Suranjan Das. Famous Bengali writer Abul Bashar inaugurated the 1st official website of Bardhaman Utsav www.bardhamanutsav.netThe Utsav started at Town Hall Maidan as a festival to promote the heritage, culture & folk culture in order to increase tourism in the city & the district, will end on 19th January. The theme of this year's Bardhaman Utsav is Pure Water & Nature.
"We are really proud that people of Burdwan have identified this Utsav as an family affair. Everyone visit & bring their family & friends spontaneously. We really don't have to invite anyone to visit or take part in the Utsav." Burdwan Municipalit's Chairman Ainul Haque told Bengal News.
